Sigma 400mm f/5.6 & Sony SLTs (A77)

Got the 400mm today. Haven't had a lot of time for sample photos, but it DOES work on my A77. So far I've only used manual focus during testing the lens and it's worked well. The only thing I've noticed that worries me is the On/Off AF motor drive. Whenever the A77 powers on or off, it moves the focus motor. This could easily strip the lens gears, so I'm going to have to be careful to remember it.

Early recommendation: change this lens on and off your camera after it is powered on - don't leave the lens on the camera body.
