RX100 close up with Raynox 250

Just out of curiosity I taped my Raynox 250 over the front of the RX100. The diameter of the Raynox and the barrel of the RZ100 are about the same.
The first shot is without the Raynox with the max focal length of 37.1mm. Distance to the red flower is 55cm

The field of view horizontally at the point of focus is about 21cm wide
The second shot is with the same setting in the camera but with the Raynox taped to the front of the lens barrel

The distance to the plane of focus has now decreased to 11cm and the flower fills the frame (about 5cm width)
Just need to find a better way to fix the Ranox to the camera. Any suggestions?
