New 1D MK1 user needs help!

Hi thanks for your help,i'll give those adjustments a try yep it's quite a machine looking to get the 50mm f1.8 mk1 lens but they seem to hold their price above and beyond the mk2 but from what i have read the optics are the same and some say that the coatings on the mk2 are better! has anyone used both?
