Canon did exactly what I wanted Nikon to do with the 1 series

I actually appreciate Nikon's 1 system, for the tradeoff it chose. Honestly, most people use digicam for family, vacation, etc., and prefer easy to use, and somewhat fool-proof. Nikon chose AF performance over sensor size or lens speed is good enough for me.

I also have a Nikon P300 that I actually used the most because of its fast lens and compact size. It's a free market, pick whatever suits you the best and don't expect all brands to produce the same copycat models.
