This might be a dumb question but I have not had W7 long on my new PC. I used to use Nero/Roxio in XP and could drag any files into it's window and burn CDs and DVDs no problem. I don't have Nero on my new W7 machine and can't find an easy way to burn discs. Googling said use Windows Media Centre which I have (I have W7 Professional V6.1) but this seem only to address movies and Live TV? Please help me find an easy way which must be somewhere hidden in W7...isn't it?

Yes, just put a blank CD in your drive and drag/drop, copy and paste or right click and 'Send to...' your files to your CD drive in Windows Explorer
