I also share this persons dilemma, though probably not to the same extent.
I kinda like the looks of the Canon EOS M, and the announcement gave me a little pause with regards to my future RX100 purchase (Not yet out in my country).
The touchscreen and APS-C sensor and that Hybrid Auto focus seems interesting. And the size, seems very nice too, not pocketable, but definitely something I could imagine taking around everywhere.
Though I would probably just get the RX100 first, and just wait for EOS M line to mature a little and get some things straightened out (Some comments I have read regarding autofocus speed).
I am sure Canon(as well as other manufacturers) will just keep improving their cameras as time passes.
But right now, I feel that the RX100 is more polished (still waiting to see autofocus speed on the EOS M)
This will really be a dilemma for me if RX100 gets so delayed in my country that it matches the date of EOS M release (Highly unlikely). Then I would really have to see how the production unit of the EOS M goes.
