This is where the EF-M to EF mount adapter would come in handy. Add the adapter to the new Canon 40mm 2.8 Pancake lens for 64mm equivalent, or even better add the new canon 24mm IS or 28mm IS, and you've got a nice prime lens that would be stabilized (perfect for video). (of course it would be 5 inch total length for the converter+ 24/28 or 4 inches with the 40mm).
