D800 over exposure problems
|
I'll post some examples later.
Shooting last Saturday my D800 was being very difficult. It's like it suddenly couldn't meter properly, and the dynamic range I've become used to was just all over the place. Mainly blown highlights.
I mention it because I haven't changed any significant settings, and up until now it's been extremely great in most situations.
A couple of clues:
Could it be that the battery wasn't charged properly? I know this sounds a bit odd, but there's a chance that the battery wasn't charged for long enough, the pushed pretty hard.
I'm not sure what firmware I'm running, but if there's an update, would that help?
I ended up relying on a D700 (worryingly) a massive improvement on correct exposure and better colours.
Not good.
