Easy photo editing program for my wife

My wife really liked the Windows photo program that came with her Vista computer, but I just got her a new Windows 7 laptop and the old program is not compatable. She needs something easy to use and she is having a some trouble getting the hang of the new Windows Live Photo program, and to be honest, I also liked the old Vista program better.

Looking for suggestions for an easy, basic photo editing program for my wife.
