Viewing photos on a MBP

Well I bit the bullet on Wednesday and ordered my MBP+R. Lo and Behold 60 units came in Thursday and only 50 were backordered.

So, I'm migrating slowly from Windows to OS...very slowly. In Windows Explorer (Win7) when i insert an SDHC card into my laptop I can view the pictures on the card without doing any importing. Can this be done on the MBP?
