For me the mop represents the silly/goofy/light-hearted side of the Philippines. And I mean that in a very complementary way--I love this place. What's a big ugly mop doing leaning against that bar during prime time business hours? Who cares? It's the Philippines and no one cares. In the US, OCD heads would roll; not here.
