Are you interested in video? If so there are better options. Look for those that will zoom and focus while using the vidoe function.

I also agree with ChrisUK. You might be better off with a wider angle lens rather than a longer lens. As it is probable that you will want to take group pictures of new friends.

In the main quality isn't a big issue.

I'm jealous, a semester in Denmark, enjoy.
