I used the original version for architectural shots a lot and had some issues with windows even when using 7-11 shot brackets. The issue was more that there is a fair amount of haloing around the edges. Some of this can be counteracted by selecting a different method like subtle or sharp which pull adjustments much closer to edges. I would often mask in windows after processing if it was especially difficult. Overall, however, this is my go-to plugin and I use it all of the time.
I use the u-Point controls and dial down the method strength to darken those areas in instead of relying on exposure all of the time. This can help a lot as well.
