40 vs 40

We have DA40XS in lab. DA40/2.8 Ltd is very nice small lens. Really cute. But XS version looks like strange body cap, really ugly and like cheap plastic thing from china

Optically they are identical in fact. Focusing about the same - both are very fast even on K-01's contrast-detect AF. On K5 with phase AF it locks almost instantly.

If the price difference is not a problem, I'd take DA Limited as it will last for many years of daily use and it also is nicely crafted metal lens.
