Results: Astrophotography with the D800E

Great work Todd! Love your shot. I used the Vixen Polarie but to be honest I was pushing it. For some shots I have the D800E+70-200/2.8 and that's more than the Polarie weight limit. I used in-camera long exposure noise reduction and yes everything doubled.

My photo still looks noisy but I haven't stacked it yet ('cos all my photos are in NEF and it seems stacking software works with JPG/GIF, etc.).
