focus issue Nikon coolpix P5100
Jul 20, 2012

I am using my Nikon Coolpix P5100 for about 6 years now. I bought it at that time to be able to make easy snapshots from my new born children. Now, I want to develop my photograph skills and trying to get the most out of this camera.

Actually it is still a great camera, but now being more critical on the quality of the picture, I notice lots of my photo's are not sharp.

In particular landscapes but also other kind of photo's. Even though I use the highest aperture number possible.

I already aim at the main subject, press halfway to lock the focus, make new composition and then make the picture.

I shoot my pictures in M mode. Pictures, made in the P mode/macro are super sharp. Could distance be the problem?
Is this a camera issue, or is there a way to improve?
