Hi Richard, I have the NEX 5N rather than the 7. I came from a Canon 1Ds2 so the transition from huge to tiny was easier than I initially thought it would be. I only bought the Nex because my wife was complaining about the amount of gear I was hauling whenever we took a trip. Much to my surprise and delight the camera with the 18-55 kit lens worked great. I've had this for about 9 months now and I still have to think hard about the full frame vs crop when selecting lenses, but it has eased since I bought a CV15 to get the wide view I like for scenery. Not to disparage the sweep pano feature as thats something else I've learned to like. Only thing is I feel I must have good light as I'm still not comfortable with high ISOs.
Going to Helsinki and Russia next month and the NEX will be the camera of choice, not necessity.
