Nikon user looking for Canon user thoughts...

I bought the Nikon D800E and returned it because the live view manual focus was unacceptable. I am considering purchasing the Canon 5D III because it is much better for manually focusing in live view (read the numerous reviews). I mostly manually focus so it is a big issuse with me. Also my Nikon lenses will work on Canon (manual focus) without glass in the adaptor but not the other way around. I expect that my Nikon lenses will not work on the new Sony A99 with out glass in the adaptor, when it comes out. So why wait for the Sony.
