Actually, according to RAWDigger, it's actually the Green Channel which is underexposed. The Red Channel is similar.

That explains the ability to recover - apparenty - burnt highlights easily with RAW files.

In real life use, it's no worries. The Jpegs are great, and the RAW have a lot of latitude to work with.

Perhaps Oly should add more latitude, and go for -3 EV under-exposure in RAWs. Why stop at -2 ?

Sure, why not. Isn't highlight 'headroom' supposed to be a good thing?
