Nikon d80 replacement

Currently wrestling with the old camera upgrade issue. Currently running 2x D80, both around 30,000 shots each. Mainly for indoor portraiture using studio lights and backdrop.

Current lenses are Nikkor 24-70 f2.8 and 50mm 1.4 G. I am not convinced that full frame is the way to go, because the DX sensor crop with the 24-70 is just about ideal.

My wife wants to move into newborn photography and make more use of natural light. Question is ( sorry for the ramble!) would we be nuts to sell the D80's and move to the 3200? Have considered the D7000, but we will need to buy 2 bodies and the cost ( in NZ ) is somewhat restrictive. HELP! Any thoughts or comments greatly appreciated. Cheers
