not multi-aspect, but GH2 tech in 4:3 shape? Same as E-M5 sensor?

Going on the pixel count options, this is not a multi-aspect ratio sensor like the GH2 has, but it seems likely that it is using the same pixel technology, just in the standard 4:3 shape. Panasonic has apparently indicated that this sensor produces digital output (like the GH1 and GH2) rather than analog output to an off-board ADC (like all other m4.3 cameras except perhaps the E-M5.)

Panasonic also recently started advertising the GH2 sensor for sale at its web-site, and describes it as using column parallel on-sensor ADC, like Sony does with EXMOR. So it seems that this approach is spreading down the m4/3 product line at last.

The pixel counts are also an exact match for the Olympus E-M5, so maybe we are closer to resolving the mystery of where the E-M5 sensor comes from!

Smaller lenses, better in low light, more telephoto reach:
you can have any two at one time.
