The physical dimension of the uncropped GH1 and GH2 sensors has NEVER been specified. The physical dimension of the full GH2 sensor isn't even specified in in Panasonic's semiconductor division catalog.

From the GH2 spec sheet:
"Image Sensor Size: 17.3 x 13.0 mm (in 4:3 aspect ratio)"

That's all it's ever said.

The physical size doesn't matter to photography. Only the effective size. Pretty much all image sensors are actually larger than area used to record the image. A larger sensor cropped to the size of a smaller sensor doesn't somehow give better results than just having the smaller sensor; it gives the same results.
