Need help for D4 tethered on Mac
Jul 18, 2012

I am trying to test tethered shooting, ultimately with WiFi, but for now via wired LAN, just to eliminate any WiFi problems.

So I have discovered that I need to go via a switch (or use crossed LAN cable).

I have been successful in setting the D4 to HTTP server, and accessing it from a web browser to control the camera.

I can also shoot tethered via USB and Aperture, but Lightroom 4.1 (Mac) can't detect the camera. Strange as Aperture works.

However via LAN even Aperture doesn't see the camera.

I also have no clue how to automatically ftp to the mac!

So in summary: LAN and HTPP works. I need help to:

1) set up auto ftp taken shots to the Mac
2) use LAN connected tethered shooting with LR or Aperture
3) find out where browser LAN connected shooting saves files

Thanks in advance,
