Sunrise/sunset Scenes

It looks to me like most of the entries are processed beyond what the rules allow. The rules state:

"Minor editing such as exposure, contrast and such for small fix"

This seems to be a fairly common violation of the rules, that must not be practical to enforce.

We all have our own taste and I know that a lot of folks like the overprocessed look, but to me many of the sunrise/sunset photos are almost gaudy and garish or maybe it is just the effect of seeing so many together. I am not saying anyone has bad taste, just different. I am curious to see what others think. I do think there are many magnificent photos in the group, including the highly processed ones and most are beyond my skills and I did enjoy seeing them.
