3D photo and format in video

Hello, does anybody have some expirience with that?! I am asking, in manuals write that you must have special HDMI cable! Is this neceseary?! Or if it is, then you see 3D picture only from camera?! (i have 3D TV!)

and second: you record movie and then is shown as .MOV file! When I want play this file from TV (HDD and cable to TV) nothing is shown! does anybody know if i can change this .MOV format, lets say in .AVI format?!!
