Medium Format Techniques emphasized in D800, but not D7000
Jul 17, 2012

On the internet, Medium Format Techniques are emphasized in D800, but not D7000.

I have never shot Medium Format. But I assume Tripod. And if feasible,
mirror lock up, remote shutter string or equivalent.

That is to prevent the disatrous effect of a hand tremor/camera body
movement on the image.

But isn't that effect worse in Higher pixel density (number of pixels per square cm)
rather than the total number of pixels?

D7000 has actually slightly higher pixel density than D800

And I imagine a regular point and shoot has a much higher pixel density than
D7000 and D800.

We did not see people advocate Medium format technique to point and shoot.

That perplexes me.

And there ARE new D800 owners that claim their photos are less magnificent
if it's poorer hand holding techniques.

Thoughts welcome.
