Btw, what software are you using for post-processing your files? Whatever it is, it's working perfectly!

I convert using ACR, which does a great job in filtering the noise and retaining detail of 7D files. In PS, I apply NR at OOF areas and sharpening at in-focus areas.

When viewed in DPP, the 7D ISO 1600 and 3200 files are indeed noisy at the pixel level, but ACR can squeeze out much info if the exposure is done right.
