D800 slow to show review of photo taken...

I rented a D800 this past weekend and did a "reset" to get all default settings.

Then I did the setup the way I wanted which included changing the file type to NEF 12-bit lossless compressed. I was using a SanDisk Extreme Pro 32GB (95MB/s) memory card which I had formated, and the D800 would occasionally have the hour glass on the back LCD instead of my image I had just taken! And no, I was not doing burst shots! Maybe one every 5 - 10 seconds... Bad SD card? The files were on average, 30-35MB.
Anyone else have this lagging?
