Which is the better P&S: LX5 vs GX1

In anticipation of the LX5 being marked down, and the already cheap GX1, which is the better point and shoot?

I know this is a bit of an apples to oranges comparison, but both cameras are my favourites in their respective categories.

I find I never use zoom under 4X power so the LX5 will never have it's zoom used and the GX1 would be using a 20mm pancake. Size will be effectively the same, LX5 will have an advantage at the wide end (wouldn't get a pancake smaller than 20mm for the m4/3).

To clarify point & shoot means exactly that. Oh my god my kid looks so cute and I must take this picture this exact millisecond Using the auto feature or perhaps a custom pre-set, possibility of the need for a quick follow-up shot because the silly kid blinks/moves/etc.
