Time to try panoramic shots. 3 or more shots stitched together.
Try microsoft ICE. A great program.

Ice compensates for slight movement from frame to frame.

Stitching is certainly useful for large detailed panoramas of still life. But if people were playing basketball in that out-of-shot court, their movement might not be slight, and you might end up with the same player (or parts of him) in two different positions in the panorama. In such circumstances a wider angle lens might be a better compromise.

No one I know would try to make a panorama of basketball game.

The issue is people walking in your field of view of which you want to capture a panoramic image.

I do it quite often and Microsoft ICE is quite good at movement near the seems.
Multiple images of a person means you are shooting too slowly.

It is alot of fun and you still wind up with a good pictorial of the scene you witnessed on vacation.
