CS3: My Clone Stamp just started making hard edge circles

Just today seemingly out of nowhere my Clone Stamp Tool started leaving hard edge circles on anything I try to clone out of an image. Instead of simply adding the clone portion it also leaves a distinct hard circle in the section I'm cloning (a dust spot for instance).
I do not believe I changed any settings, at least not purposely.
It does not seem to matter what brush hardness I use or if I lower the opacity or flow.
What happened? Any ideas?
