Comparing bad high ISO results - ISO 3200 vs ISO 3200

Please look closely at these pictures! They are 100 % crops. The noise level is very different, still the same camera was used, exposure was set to AUTO (S) and ISO was 3200 for both!

The camera was moved a bit between the takes, so that the auto exposure was 1/20 sec at f:8 for the first picture and 1/60 sec at f:8 for the second. Who cares? This is just another high ISO test among a lot of similar bad samples at Dpreview ...

Then the Lightroom 4 noise settings was adjusted just a tad when converting the first picture, and set to default for the second. Using default for both wouldn't really change things, so who cares?

What does these pictures tell (except from showing a beautiful girl)?

When comparing noise level many photographers shoot without thinnking about exposure, just ISO setting. This is an example of how bad this can turn out, and also tell that you should never trust high ISO tests unless they are done with care and knowledge and you know and can repeat the method used!

When processed and downscaled for web even the worst picture look smooth, sharp and clean:
