I am towards the end of a loan I took of X PRO 1 to test it.

Most of my impression are very positive but too often I find that focus of images I took from a relatively close distance is not where I aimed it to be. I am shooting with OVF.
Is this a known problem? any way to to work around it?

Dude...read the manual. Anyway....there is ZERO focus shift with the XPro-1 and lenses...that's one of the features of the system IMO. Anyway, you cannot close focus on objects without putting the camera into macro mode....that is one of the downsides of the camera. Try it....every single shot will be razor sharp when you acquire focus.
