Basic tripod and guided Astrophotography tips?

Thanks Mac. Wow, that's quite intensive. I'm not certain if I'm able to try that but may give it a shot. There's quite a level of sophistication in your suggested process which I'm not certain if I'm really at that level yet.

But it's definitely given me food for thought.
