Why do people insist on calling the D800 a PRO camera?

This is in no means a slam on the D800, it is just an observation. The D800 does have a cutting edge sensor that has no competition but a sensor alone does not make a pro camera. With all the dial, buttons, and appendages falling off of the camera with little or no effort should be of concern. The D3200 and D7000 are barely considered prosumer cameras and they are much more rugged. The build quility of the D800 isn't even up to the standards of both of the prosumer models. The D4 is considered Nikon's flagship pro camera and it suffers from the same lacking QC issues. Either the bar has been lowered in the pro arena for acceptable standards or "pro" has a different meaning than it did with last generation bodies.

So, people stop calling the D800 a pro body! No matter how hard you wish it to be it never will be.
