200/2.8L - is it worth it?

I've found a 200/2.8L prime around me for a good price, and it's one lens that has been on my radar for some time now (my short list is the 135L, 200L, 35L, and 70-200/4L). I'm currently using the 17-40 and 24-105 on a 5D2, with nothing longer than 105. My 24-105 lives on my camera, with the 17-40 doing landscape duty for anything that needs to be super wide and can be stopped down. I also use the 85/1.8 for people and the 100/2.8 for macro. I'd likely plan to use the 200L for airshows, sports, and animals (I'd likely also pick up a 1.4X TC as well to get a little more reach). Just how good is the 200? All reviews I've seen have been pretty positive, saying that it has no real weakness outside of being a limited-use lens.

What say you, DP Review? Is a good deal on a 200/2.8 worth the leap?

(I also just missed a 135L for under $800 this week, which still chafes my hide a bit.)
