Advice on Raw conversion and autofocus for A77 + 16-80cz

Please could you just run that past me again, I didn't quite understand the method precisely. Its sounds a really interesting and very useful concept.

If you wouldn't mind just writing it down step by step and when you use manual focus and when to use autofocus.

I would grately appreciate your advice.
