News paper article confirms trend to less expensive weddings

Not trying to start a flame war or anything, but this newspaper article certainly articulates a growing trend for couples to be very budget conscious when planning their wedding. I think that this is a resurgence of 1940's and 1950's conservative mindset. My parents generation did not have fancy weddings. I actually can relate to the couple in the newspaper article as when I got married our budget was less than 5K for everything; including the honeymoon. There just was no money for anything else.

Yes Facebook has had an impact on wedding photography and Uncle Bob, but a large factor is the growing fiscal conservatism in people's lives.
