Guess how I shot this time lapse with the RX100

Looks like a pad on the left. Did it have a timelapse program that remotely triggers the camera?

I did hope this camera had an inbuilt timelapse intervalometer. It's a shame if it doesn't, I really don't understand why the manufacturers don't have this facility in all their more high end cameras.
