16-35 or 17-40 to go on a 5dmk3?

Has anyone got any comments on which of theses two lenses to pick for a mk3?

If cost isn't a issue what would people recommend ? I'll be using it for mainly landscapes and sky/clouds lightning shots and of course anything else I can't shoot!
I currently have the 24-70 2.8l
