Help with resizing the image without loosing details
Jul 12, 2012

This is my first post to this forum.
I have a question about reducing the size of my macro images ( in Photoshop).

I share some of my shots on a website forum. The problem is that I need to reduce the dimensions of the original image ( from let's say 4000 X 2000 Pix to something like 1200 X 800 pix ). Please take my figures here just for the sake of an example.

I need to reduce the dimension of the pictures so that it is easy for the visitors of the forum to see them without the need to scroll the window on their computer.

When I reduce the image size in Photoshop, I loose the "closeness" to the motive. On the original photo when I zoom in to 100%, the motive looks just grate and amazing. I want to keep the dimensions of the main motive while reducing the image size.
I will be grateful for any suggestions.
With best regards
