I have seen tht the Tamron looses F4 at around 100mm but does not loose F4.5 until 160mm and this range would be useful for outdoor portraits. I may loose a little bit of light from the Canon in the 100-200mm range but the VC should make up for that? If the Tamron as sharp as the Canon in this range?

Comparing AF in low light, ie taking photos of my husband and son playing football when he gest home from work near to dusk, how does the AF on the 2 compare?
