5D3 Outer AF Points and Fast Primes?

Anyone else having a little trouble with outer AF points and fast primes wide open? My 35L and 100/2 are hitting like 1 out of 4 when using outer AF points. I'm using single point AF, in both normal [ ] and precision [ ] mode. Send it in, or is this normal?
