HELP...need opinions before uploading for printing...
Jul 12, 2012

So, there is a place having a sale on metal prints and I want to get one of some of my photos from a recent trip to Canada. The deal is the photo is he photos is roughly 11X7.5" at 350 dpi. Now that more than meets the printers requirements. The problem is that I really want to print this at a 20X30" size on a metal print which is going to drop the resolution down to roughly 130dpi at that size. So, I am wondering if it is going to look decent at that size. The image looks kind of strange to me at 100% already and just want opinions on how much more that is going to be apparent at the larger size. The thing almost has a painterly look at 100%, most likely due to diffraction and the f16 or so aperture used on my 10-22. Anyways below is the 100% crop of part of this image and I am just wondering what you guys think before I throw down $100+ for this. Please let me know your honest opinion. The closest people will probably ever view it from will be 5-6 feet, maybe 3-4 but I doubt it.
