My first E-M5 photos online: Palermo street scene
Jul 11, 2012

This small gallery (maybe I will expand it later) contains my very first E-M5 photos online on Zenfolio:

We strolled around sunset through the small streets and squares between the Cathedral and the very modern and intimidating Palazzo di Giustizia. Some kids were playing on the corner of the square where the magistrates are commemorated that have been assassinated by the mafia (Falcone and Borsellino among the names).

I shot a quick sequence with the E-M5 and the 12-50 lens.

It was one of the first things I wanted to get around to in the selection and processing chore.

Processing in LR4 involved the usual minor tweaks and cropping to a square series.

Here are two samples. The sequence in the gallery (link above) is six images.

What can I say?
The E-M5 is an excellent inconspicuous tool for candid street photography.

I was semi-close (just enough not to disturb the kids). The group of mothers sat watching and grinned. I showed them the raw material on my LCD and gave them my card.
