Milkweed Invaders - 100mm WR Macro (4 imgs)

After the heat broke in the northeast Sunday afternoon, everyone came out of the woodwork, so to speak. We have a few milkweed moving into the garden, which is fine since most of our yard is naturalized for birds, butterflies and bees. Seems everything is about a month (at least) ahead of normal in terms of flowering this year, including the milkweed. Here's a few of our visitors: the first two are of a Virginia Ctenucha; the others are of the Milkweed Beetle. All were hand-held (on a breezy afernoon), TAv.

(Between the light and the breeze, I had a few challenges, but still liked this image.)

(I did knock the highlights down quite a bit in PP to reduce distraction; maybe I went a bit too far.)
I love this lens, especially in good light!
Thanks for looking.
