Which tripods for speedlight flashes? (also for outdoor)
Jul 10, 2012

Hi,

I've been thinking of buying 2 tripods for my canon 580exII flashes. I turned to this forum because I have no experience in terms of light stands. The only tripod I have is for my camera, ant it is Manfrotto 055xprob. It's great!

In terms of light stands for my flashes, I'd like to buy something that can be used for outdoor as well. So these should not fall down at light wind. It must be air-cushioned to protect expensive flashes. I also have umbrellas (and umbrella and flash holders for tripod) and therefore I may use umbrellas too, but probably only when there is almost no wind. In terms of height, I think the max height should be at least 2m. One light stand could also be with a boom, so that when necessary I can light up my subject from up too.

Can anyone suggest any tripods at these requirements that would fit to a approx 60 eur/1tripod (total 2x60) budget?
