You keep on making the point that piracy does not impact sales, claiming that its been 'shown time and time again'. Yet the one 'study' you can come up to defend your amoral viewpoint doesnt say that at all. Here is a quote from it:

'It’s clear that, at least in some cases, piracy substitutes for a legitimate transaction — for example, a person who would have bought the DVD of the new Kate Beckinsale vampire film (who is that, actually?) but instead downloads it for free on Bit Torrent.'

All that article really does is point out the flaws in methodology from some of the estimates that are floated of the damage piracy causes.

It never says that there is no impact on sales, as you claim.

If its even 1% (and I dont believe its even close to that low), thats still 1% that is taken from the pocket of the rightful owner of the IP. And its frankly ridiculous that you think thats your call to make, rather than his.
