Manual Focus Live View Nikon D800E

Thanks for this post. This is quite a thorough review of the subject. I think I agree with the reviewer that it is not a deal breaker. Yet I wonder why Nikon chose to go that route. People are saying cost cutting, but really, where are the savings I wonder?

Does anybody think the LiveView resolution can be upgraded through firmware?
