16-35F4vr or 24F1.4g for D700

Hi All,

I am having a hard time deciding on which of these two lenses to go for. I currently have the 20mm2.8d, 50mm1.8d, 35-70mm2.8d and am waiting on delivery of a 85mm1.8g. I also have the Sigma 150mm2.8 and Nikon 300mmF4 for the longer end.

I would like to add a lens at the wide end for Landscapes and people shots at events such as re-enactment days and anything i come across while out and about. The 24mm1.4g would seem to fit the gap and i have seen some fantastic stuff from this lens but is it a bit to specialised and it is VERY expensive.

The thing with the 16-35 is that i dont see myself shooting below 20mm very often which i have the 20mm for and i believe it is a bit poor at 35mm. So i might end up just using the lens between 20mm and 30mm'ish which would be a waste of money.

So i could do with some help from people who have these lenses, if you could give me your opinions on how they perform and there best uses i would be most greatfull.
Regards Kev.
